Choose from Canvas Wraps, Posters, Removable Self Adhesive Posters, Wallpapers and Feature Wall Art in a range of sizes.  Simply choose your image, decide what format you would like and finally the size.

How are your products produced?

All our products are printed to order at our Peterborough Factory.  We use water-based inks, which are moisture-proof, fade-proof and scratch-resistant.  We only use the finest materials to ensure you receive the best possible product.  Finally, all our products are expertly hand-finished and packed to ensure you receive the highest quality products.

What is Removable Wallpaper?

Removable Wallpaper is exactly that!  It is self-adhesive wallpaper which can easily be removed leaving no residue or damage to your walls.  In fact, it helps protect the walls underneath!

Because it is easily removable, it is perfect for rental properties.  Its application is easy and mess-free, requiring no messy paste or floor protection, and removal is just as simple.  Just peel it off and the walls underneath are undamaged.

Are your products Eco-Friendly?

Yes!  We only use PVC-Free materials, and we use water-based latex inks, which contain no solvents or chemicals.  Latex inks are UL ECOLOGO and UL GREENGUARD GOLD certified.

Can I have a custom image printed on a poster or wallpaper?

What are your shipping times?

All products are printed to order and are not available 'off the shelf'.  We aim to ship all orders within 48 hours, but some orders may take up to 5 working days.

What delivery options do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Delivery is provided by Next Day Courier.  We can ship to home or workplace addresses.  If you are local to Peterborough, you are also welcome to collect your order from our workshop by prior arrangement.

Can I return a product?

Accepted Answer

As all products are custom printed to order, we do not allow returns unless a product is faulty.  In the event of a faulty product, we will reprint your order and reship to ensure you are 100% delighted with your order.

Question 9

Can I apply your wallpapers to any wall?

Accepted Answer

Our wallpapers can be applied to most clean, dry flat surfaces.  We do not recommend applying them to textured surfaces or walls with loose and flaking paint.  Freshly painted walls should be left for 3 months before applying our wallpapers to give them ample time to dry completely.  Our wallpapers are opaque, so can be applied to previously coloured walls.

We are more than happy to post you a sample so you can test it for yourself.

How do you apply your wallpapers?

Our wallpapers are printed onto self adhesive wall fabric, specifically designed for wallcoverings.  We supply our wallpapers in pre-cut 2.5m strips for easy of hanging.  Our wallpapers are a straight match, making hanging simple.  We recommend you start by peeling off a strip of the backing paper to expose the adhesive by about 20cm.  Use this to fix the strip to the top of the wall and ensure it is straight.  Then simply use a cloth or squeegee to flatten the fabric to the wall whilst peeling the remaining backing paper from top to bottom.  Smoothing from the centre to the edges of the strips is easiest.  As it's removable, you can peel it back to remove any air bubbles you may encounter when applying. The next strip is designed to have a small overlap to make matching easier and ensure a good fit.

What if I have tall ceilings?

Most UK ceilings are an average height of 2.3 to 2.4m. Our strips are supplied at 2.5m long, allowing them to fit most ceilings with a small allowance for trimming after installation.  If you have ceilings taller than this, please contact us before ordering, and we can supply longer lengths to suit your needs.

What if I spill something on my wallpaper?

Our wallpapers are wipeable and waterproof.  Should you spill something like coffee into your walls, you can wipe this with a damp cloth before it dries.  We recommend not allowing spills to dry before wiping however, as some fluids, such as coffee, can stain if allowed to dry.

I've seen cheaper wallpapers on-line, why should I buy from Splash of Colour?

Accepted Answer

Our wallpapers are printed onto block-out self adhesive PVC free fabric, specifically designed for producing wallpapers.  Other sellers often print onto much cheaper self adhesive vinyl, which can stretch during application.  This stretching makes pattern matching impossible, and will make applying your wallpaper a stressful experience.

In addition, we print with Latex Inks, which are waterproof, fadeproof and eco friendly.  Latex Inks will not fade, use no chemicals and do not emit any vapours.

Finally, we believe no-one else offers such a wide variety of designs all in one place.  Our designs are not available in shops and provide an opportunity for you to really make your house a home.

Question 14

How do I remove your wallpaper?

Accepted Answer

The adhesive on our wallpapers is designed to be easily removable with leaving any residue.  We recommend pulling your wallpaper off the wall slowly in a straight, downward motion, keeping the removed wallpaper close to the wall.

We have compiled hundreds of traditional and modern artworks and grouped them into categories on our site.  These artworks are all available to order in a choice of styles and sizes to suit your needs.

High Quality Posters - ready for you frame or blu-tac to your wall!
Self Adhesive Posters - stick them straight onto your wall and safely peel them off when you're ready for a change!  No damage and no residue removal make them  ideal for rental properties.
18mm Canvas Wraps - printed onto lightly textured canvas material and stretched around an 18mm pine frame.  Supplied ready to hang (picture hook required).

Our removable posters are exactly that!  Printed onto a self adhesive fabric, these posters will stick to any flat surface.  They can then be removed without any damage to the wall and even relocated to another position!  They are perfect for creating your own space in  rental homes without causing any damage to walls!

What are Feature Wall Designs?

Feature Wall Designs are large images designed to fill a whole wall or part of a wall with one image.  The design is split into easy to apply strips ready to stick to your wall.  They are printed onto the same Self Adhesive Fabric our wallpapers use, meaning the are also removable with no residue or damage to the wall.
